Instructional Writing
In English we have been learning how to write instructions. We made chocolate Rice Krispie cakes and wrote the instructions down using bossy verbs so we could share them with other classes. They tasted very yummy!

Role Play
We have been using role play to help us understand how characters are feeling during different parts of our Harry the Happy mouse story. In todays lesson we played the role of the frog who gets stuck on the log. The children loved acting out what the frog said and did!

Harry the Happy Mouse
This week we have started our new English topic, Harry the Happy Mouse. We thought about mice and talked about all the different things mice can do and then wrote these in super sentences! Some of us even included the joining word and!

We then used the ideas we had gathered in our role play session to think of speech for the characters, thinking about what the frog would say to Harry the mouse after he saved him. We had some wonderful ideas!
