Retelling a story

We had lots of fun in todays English lesson! We have been learning about the character Harry from 'Harry the Happy Mouse. We retold the story to our partners and then acted it our with a partner.

We have been learning all about rhyming words in English. In today's lesson we went on a hunt around the classroom to find our rhyming word partner. Then we matched up rhyming word sentences and some of us even had a go at writing our own rhyming sentences.

Adjectives for describing.

We have been learning all about fractions over the last few weeks in Year 1. This week we talked about words to describe how characters were feeling. We thought of lots on our own and then used the website 'word hippo' to search for synonyms of our words to get even more! We really enjoyed working in groups and learning new words.
