SEND

At Ingol Community Primary School we work closely with parents/carers in order to meet the individual needs of every child attending our school.

A child has special educational needs (SEN) if they have learning difficulties or disabilities which make it harder for them to learn than children of the same age.

Many children will have special educational needs of some kind during their time at primary school. We aim to identify any difficulties as early as possible in order to put in intervention which will support the child in their learning.

Special educational needs could mean that a child has difficulties in one or more of the following areas:

  • Communication and interaction
  • Cognition and learning
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health
  • Sensory and/or physical

If you have concerns about your child you should contact the class teacher or the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO).

Our SENDCO is Mr J Moss. He is available in school Monday to Friday on 01772 727383 ext: 2

Further information for parents and carers of children with SEND can be found below.
