Warm Colours- Robert Dulaney

In todays art session we have been talking about how different colour make us feel. We talked about how red, yellow and orange are warm colours and they make us feel warm and think of happy things. We then used these warm colours in a painting inspired by Robert Dulaney and will use cool/cold colours next week to finish it off.

Mixing tints

We have been learning about mixing colours and in todays lesson we slowly mixed white paint into blue paint to create different tints of blue. We then used our new blue tints to create a painting inspired by the artist Paul Klee.

Printing
We started our printing topic in todays lesson by experimenting with different objects, looking at the textures they create when we print with them.

We used bread to create our own printing blocks! First we chose a cookie cutter, then pressed it into a slice of bread, cutting out the shape. Then we printed with the negative space and the cut out.
