Use the learning link below to create some complex sentences. Remember Year 5 complex sentences can have an 'ing', 'ed' or simile starter.
Gliding through the brilliant white sky, I clung on to the snowman tightly.
Saddened that my snow man would melt, I said goodbye to him one last time.
Like eagles soaring high in the sky, we flew until we reached the forest.
You can also use a relative pronoun, to write complex sentences with a relative clause.

20 mins reading a book of their choice.

Writing:
Write a winter poem or rap of your choice. You could use rhyming, repetition, similes, metaphors, alliteration, verses, personification, pattern or onomatopoeia.
